Principal’s Letter

Dear Colleague:

As American workers and businesses continue to grapple with the health and economic ramifications of the COVID-19 global health crisis, plan sponsors are also evaluating the potential impact of both the CARES and SECURE Acts on their retirement plans. In this issue we provide the highlights of this new legislation and some important considerations as we move forward in 2020.

While Millennials have been the focus of much of the discussion around the evolution of the workplace, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics older employees are the fastest growing workplace demographic. We take a look at this growing trend and how best to meet the needs of this older employee demographic from a retirement plan perspective.
