Principal’s Letter
Dear Colleague:
Entrepreneurship is alive and well in America. However, for many of these self-employed business owners saving for retirement is often last on their list of priorities. In this issue we take a look at a number of smaller-scale retirement plan options for the self-employed small business owner that can be funded throughout their working lives.
While retirement plan providers and plan sponsors continue to implement multi-level security protocol and procedures to proactively prevent cybersecurity breaches, retirement plan participants also have an active role to play in safeguarding their retirement accounts. We take a look at the proactive, common-sense steps participants can take now to protect their accounts.
With a changing workforce that incorporates multiple generations, there are a number of interesting considerations to keep in mind when creating an impactful employee education program. In this issue we explore four ways to rethink employee education to finesse or spark the creation of a more relevant employee education program.
Lastly, we update you on the latest ABG news and review important compliance deadlines as well as the highlights of tax reform in Tax Talk. We hope you find this issue informative. As always, your ABG representative is available to answer any questions you may have.
